We need to hear what’s being said as we’re recording to avoid problems popping up after the episode. This allows us to hear any inconsistency when speaking. We use the closed-back Sony MDR-7506’s.

We record directly to the computer using software, but also send our audio outputs directly to the Roland R-05 portable audio recorder in .WAV format as a backup. We don’t record directly to .MP3 because it can drastically reduce the quality of the recording. Inside our Roland R-05 we have a 32GB micro SD card inside of an SD card adapter.
